🛸 SUPER BIG NEWS! Finally we can tell you about a project we are particularly proud of. In recent months we have been working together with Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca to launch an important and innovative research program.  We are supervisors of the #PhD in “Fostering transparency and shared governance through digital tools and urban innovation: legal and technological frameworks for civic participation, inclusivity, and urban planning within sustainable urban environments in the global scenario". We will study digital platforms for stakeholder engagement and urban sustainability, contributing to legal analysis and promoting inclusiveness in sustainable development. A great opportunity to make cities smarter, more inclusive and future-ready!

SuperUrbanity has been involved in a significant project of the Municipality of Bergamo, which has joined the European NetZeroCitiesEU program to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Through #Forimpact, public and private companies and nonprofit organizations can share a vision related to sustainability goals and, most importantly, work together to achieve them. Despite political denials, climate change remains THE most urgent challenge humanity faces.

Sunday 19 is #WorldSnowDay.  A Natural element increasingly in short supply on the Europe's and world's mountains due to the ongoing #climatemutation.  In Italy there is a 63 percent deficit compared to historical averages and in January, there is one-third as much snow as the 2011-23 average. This is data that ended up in all national newspapers, and it is a trend we want to reverse by doing #ourpart. We cannot allow snow to disappear from our lives because it is important for the #watercycle and not least for the economy of so many territories. Urgent and impactful actions are needed, and we need to #systematize, creating #ecosystems capable of responding jointly to the demands of the planet. #Digital tools are the right instrument to increase the positive impact of our #efforts.

2025 will be a year in which the credibility of choices related to the #sustainabledevelopment of cities will be put at stake by the shaking geopolitical environment. For this reason, top-down and ineffective choices risk becoming a boomerang for the sustainability goals to which we are held accountable. Forbes has identified, among the eight trends that will shape 2025, the increasingly crucial role of #artificialintelligence used to plan and deliver services to those living in urban areas more efficiently. In this sense, we believe that in order to ensure continuity of the major investments and forward-looking policies that are greatly needed beyond all political sensibilities, it is essential to build the future of our cities together with those who live in them, starting from their needs and requirements and generating a sense of belonging with the common challenges we face. #Digitization and the ethical use of new tools for urban innovation will still be at the heart of the sustainable development of cities. 

It's a Wrap! 2024 has been a roller coaster. Up and down Italy and Europe, we met so many passionate people in participation, culture, urban innovation and technology. We learnt and brought our value across national borders, collaborating with many parts of Italy that recognized technology as a development tool for sustainability. We also organized an event (Cities For Impact ) and, most importantly, we had a lot of fun! 2025, we are ready!
