SYES Proudly Participates in Groundbreaking 5G Broadcast Demonstration at IBC 2024 We are thrilled to share that our SYES Transmitter is the cornerstone of the 5G Broadcast project that is taking center stage at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) 2024 in Amsterdam, the world's leading trade show for broadcasting. In collaboration with the Dutch national public broadcaster NPO, with Cellnex and Broadcast Partners, one 500W SYES Transmitter is broadcasting over Amsterdam a 24/7 live 5G Broadcast, marking a significant milestone in the broadcasting industry. SYES has been awarded a prestigious contract to supply two advanced DTT ion cyclotron resonance heating transmitters, in collaboration with OCEM. This project reflects SYES's 40 years of expertise in solid-state RF technology for nuclear fusion applications. The construction of these transmitters will take approximately 30 months, including several intermediate tests. Each transmitter, a high-power RF amplifier, will deliver 1.2 MW for 50 seconds within a 60-90 MHz frequency range. This achievement will mark the first time such a combination is realized using entirely solid-state technology, representing a significant technological breakthrough. The collaboration with OCEM, DTT, and ENEA researchers highlights SYES's commitment to innovation and excellence in nuclear fusion technology.
