We are a global movement of #peoplehelpingpeople, aiming to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable contexts
Chi siamo
The Human Safety Net is a global movement of people helping people. Our mission is to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable circumstances, so that they can transform the lives of their families and communities. Our programs support vulnerable families with young children (0-6 years) and integrate refugees through work and entrepreneurship. To do so, we bring together the strengths of non-profit organizations and the private sector, in Europe, Asia and South America. We are an open net and we welcome working with companies, organizations and foundations who share the same goals. The Human Safety Net is now active in over 20 countries. Our home is in Venice, in the historic Procuratie Vecchie on St Mark’s Square.

Malek, a Tunisian immigrant, discovered his entrepreneurial spirit on his journey from his homeland to Qatar and eventually to Europe. With his first project, Eliens, Malek aimed to share migrant stories and provide a platform for diverse voices. However, after realizing the limitations in making a significant impact, Malek took a break to reassess his path. This break led him to launch Kuluwak, a marketplace connecting homemade food vendors with clients, focusing on migrant talents and diverse culinary experiences. The start-up, which is incubated by SINGA, was launched in February 2024 and has already registered 10 vendors, with 100 more in contact. Through dedication and perseverance, Malek found his true calling in positively impacting migrants' lives. Read the full story at https://lnkd.in/d3dmE73X Malek's KULUWAK is one of the first 500 start-ups supported by the For Refugees programme.
