The Road Less Traveled
Istruzione superiore
A project and podcast that explores the less usual careers/career paths that are possible after a degree in human rights
Chi siamo
The Road Less Traveled is a project initiated by Professor Paolo de Stefani from the Human Rights Center of the University of Padova, done in cooperation with Global Campus of Human Rights and led by an alumna from the European Master in Human Rights and Democratisation, Véronique Lerch. The project aims at broadening the career opportunities of graduates and exploring the less usual careers and career paths, which are possible after a degree in human rights. We have done a series of webinars and are now producing a podcast in which we interview human rights graduates about their career paths. The project is named after the well-known poem from Robert Frost: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. The project can be followed on twitter or Instagram. The podcasts are available on the various podcast platforms (itunes, spotify, google).

Have a listen to the podcast from Rob Hopkins to stimulate your imagination. It is called From What If to What Next. One episode of the podcast from Rob Hopkins caught our attention: What if we could find the humour in climate change? That episode reminded us of our episode 14 with Moana Genevey (She/Her) in which she told us that humour is the most powerful tool to get your message across. A good time to listen to this episode again. #humour #humanrights #activism #socialchange https://lnkd.in/dyEkKEne

🎙 In Episode 11 of our podcast, we were exploring with Laura María Calderón Cuevas who explained how she uses music to bring people together and advance human rights. 🎶 I was reminded of this conversation listening to the podcast Trauma Resonance Resilience from Trauma Informed Consultancy Services Ltd and hosted by Dr Lisa Cherry FRSA. Fascinating to hear how Ric Flo created very organically a piece of music from her research on belonging, communicating some of the themes, direct quotes and general sense of the wisdom given by the research participants. Another great podcast to follow! https://lnkd.in/dEZNSRqm #podcast #humanrights #music #belonging #research #trauma #alternativecare

Jean Linis-Dinco, PhD, our guest from Episode 17 of the podcast The Road Less Traveled shares her opinion on the latest revision of the Global Digital Compact. To listen again to the episode: https://lnkd.in/dnbbmbpq
Human Rights & Cybersecurity | FLOSS | Linux | Keen for collaboration in human rights projects using OSINT, digital forensics, & machine learning.
The third revision of the United Nations' Global Digital Compact is now public. If it were a trojan horse, it would be bringing us closer to our doom. With backing from nations like Russia and China, the GDC is subtle in trying to establish a foundation that could embed stringent digital controls within the 'multilateral' system. Just like with the Cybercrime Treaty, this development brings us closer having digital authoritarianism weaving itself into the very fabric of the United Nations. Say no while you can.
On why the UN Global Digital Compact is a Trojan horse in Internet governance
