For years, machine translation models were trained only on correct sentence pairs, but language learning doesn’t work that way. How can humans and AI work best together? 🤖 This is what we discussed this week with Marco Trombetti on our latest podcast episode! 🎙️ Marco is CEO and co-founder of Translated, one of the largest translation companies in the world. Here are a few takeaways: ↳ 🤝 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻-𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 — success comes from finding the right workflows that combine AI capabilities and human expertise, not replacing one with the other. ↳ 📈 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆 — specialized AI solutions can achieve breakthrough results with far fewer resources than general-purpose models. ↳ 💡 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 — start as a power user, apply AI to your domain expertise, then build solutions for identified gaps. ↳ ⚖️ 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 — we should regulate what we want to prevent, not the tools themselves. ↳ 🚀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 — AI will create new opportunities and markets, but success requires embracing change and continuous learning. I particularly liked Marco's comments on what good vs bad regulation looks like.
