VHIT had the pleasure of taking part at the event #MilanDigitalWeek, where technological evolution, AI systems, ethics and sustainability were in the focus of discussion. During the event it was also illustrated how AI adoption in VHIT allows us to support daily business, spread competencies and involve all associates. Specific cases and applications from our reality were presented, such as computer vision scrap detection, maintenance assistant, helping technicians to analyze and solve machinery break-down, and LLM customer requirements analysis. Last weekend VHIT inaugurated its Olympic Games!   The event was attended by many associates from all company areas who, with playful spirit, lined up in teams and competed in a lot of challenging games, such as green volleyball, basketball, table tennis, card tournaments, musical games, sudoku contests, table football and, finally, a general-knowledge quiz.   The best teams were awarded but the real winner was the team spirit getting all of us together throughout the day!

Between the end of August and the beginning of September, VHIT hosted the summer camp for children aged 5 to 11 for the first time with the support of professional educators. By engaging in creative laboratory activities such as 3D printing, beekeeping, cooking, sports, art and many funny outdoor activities they brought their curiosity, positivity and energy throughout the company. This experience, one of the numerous company initiatives promoted by the management in the work-life balance scope, let parents manage comfortably the return from holidays while waiting for school to start. An electric oil pump operating on a commercial vehicle is required to perform for around 24.000 hours. This particular aspect, and other features like the need for electronic components suitable to properly work with 24V power, makes the design and validation process of these pumps more complex compared to the same product designed for passenger cars. For the same reasons, diagnostic and maintenance are crucial during the life of the vehicle. That’s why IoT technologies are a great added value to our electric oil pumps, offering the possibility to integrate predictive systems and also the option to replace physical sensors with virtual sensors. #VHIT #mechatronics

During the Formula SAE Italy 2024 event, which will take place at the "Riccardo Paletti" Circuit in Varano de' Melegari (PR) on September 4-8, we will take part not only as a sponsor, but also with an active role.
