We are pleased to announce that the #article entitled “𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐫-𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬” is now available for reading.   This is an article realized by Massimiliano Ruggeri, researcher and engineer, with the contribution of our colleagues from the R&D department Sara Baldoni and Christopher Rosi and our CTO, Piermatteo Covili.   In the #research, an innovative hyper-thin sensor is presented: a #safety relevant sensor for cartridge valve, which allows detecting abnormal pole tube deformation at early stages, before valve breakage or oil leaks due to #valve cracks.   This contribution deals with describing these kinds of cartridge valves failures, explaining how this innovative #sensor will be able to detect problems before they can occur, also with a reasonable warning of the moment of failure.   The innovation is described and both mechanical, electromagnetic, fabrication and installation problems are addressed.   A set of real tests on prototypes is reported, and it is shown that the tests prove the efficacy of the sensors in valve failures due to high pressure damages.   Towards the end scenarios for new application ideas are described.   Again, a big thank you to Massimiliano; it’s a great pleasure to work together and it is extraordinary for us to have taken part in the writing of an academic paper of this significance.   All the activities of #simulating, #prototyping and #testing have been carried on in our Innovation Center, born to provide customized services for ideation, modeling, simulation, co-design, prototyping and testing of systems throughout the Fluid Power value chain.   Read here the full article:  https://lnkd.in/dwHaUhTT #CartridgeValve #Fatiguebreakage #PoleTube #StrainGauge #ValveCoil #valuechain #fluidpower
