This month, His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Tibetan community in Bylakuppe, India ☸️ "Today, even people who are not Buddhists are taking an interest in what the Buddha taught. Many, scientists among them, are attracted by our use of reason and logic. This is a tradition we have kept alive down the centuries", shared His Holiness reflecting on the global impact of Buddhist philosophy - you can read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/d7G3j_Ad Wisedāna Foundation has been supporting Bylakuppe community since 2024, focusing on improving housing and local businesses. In 2025, we will continue this commitment. New initiatives will focus on schools, hospitals and homes to support the community’s growth and well-being. Bylakuppe stands as a beacon of Tibetan culture, as it is home to the largest Tibetan community outside Tibet. We stand with the People of Tibet. Yesterday, a powerful earthquake struck the Tibetan Autonomous Region, claiming over 120 lives and leaving many injured or without a home. This month, we traveled to Southern India to visit the Tibetan settlements of Bylakuppe 🇮🇳 Together with local authorities, on-site organizations and the beneficiaries of our initiatives, we are working closely to create impactful projects for the Tibetan community in exile. "The beauty of this work is the realization that, as living beings, we are all interconnected. Even when words are few and require translation, the energy shared in the encounters with the beneficiaries is tangible. This connection is a privilege and a responsibility I carry home with me," shared Marta Turchetta, our Communication & Fundraising Officer. Celebrating the Wisdom of Happiness on the big screen 🎥 Wisedāna Foundation was honored to attend the world premiere of Wisdom of Happiness at the 20th Zurich Film Festival. The film offers a profound insight into the life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, sharing his timeless wisdom and message of compassion. We were honored by the presence of Mrs. Jetsun Pema, His Holiness’ sister and an esteemed member of our Board.
