RINA is currently recruiting for a Aerospace CAD Designer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.
Mission
RINA is looking for a aerospace CAD designer to expand our Industry team based in ROME (Italy)
Key Accountabilities
To create and refine geometrical designs for aerospace components using CAD software, collaborating closely with the product project manager.
To define parametric CAD models for the optimization of the geometry updating phases that are necessary during the various design and verification steps. To use 3D, 2D and surface design modules.
To perform the 2D drawings of the parts by setting the production phases, the work and integration cycles, interfacing with the material executors of the processes.
To define the construction tolerances and to perform critical analysis of the impact on integration.
To define the dimensional control specifications of the parts to be manufactured.
To perform preliminary FEM structural analyses to identify any critical areas in relation to the dimensioning loads during the modeling phase.
To size the seals, flanges and bolts between the various parts.
To elaborate technical documents relating to the mechanical design activities performed (technical notes, dimensional control specifications, configuration of product drawings, etc...).
Education
Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications
Space / Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering Degree
3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing
Structural simulations
Design of seals, bolts and flanges
Knowledge of CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS, Microsoft Office SWs
Knowledge of cryogenic liquid propulsion and its basic components
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
