ROLE DESCRIPTION:


As a Commercial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing business performance and driving profitability. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), providing financial insights and support to enhance decision-making processes. You will oversee financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth and maximize shareholder value.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Operations: engage in activities typical of sales operations, such as sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking. Collaborate with sales teams to align financial objectives with sales strategies and initiatives, driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Commercial Contracts: conduct thorough analysis of commercial contracts to assess financial implications and risks. Collaborate with legal and sales teams to ensure alignment between contractual terms and financial objectives. Identify opportunities to optimize contract terms and improve financial outcomes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: drive the budgeting and forecasting processes for revenues and variable costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts, incorporating insights from financial analysis and market trends.
  • Monthly Closure: lead the monthly closing process for revenues and variable costs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Analyze variances against budget and forecast to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting Package: prepare comprehensive reporting packages, including financials and performance KPIs, to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Management Accounting: responsible for managing the dimensions and variables of the management accounting, including products, channels, projects, cost centers, etc. Implement and maintain systems to track and analyze revenues and costs by these dimensions.


TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Administration, or related field such as Management Engineering.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Proactive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Availability for occasional travel as required.

  • We are in Verona, but the opportunity for remote work is provided, with occasional on-site visits, especially during the initial phase of collaboration.
