We are very proud that our newly SNSF funded project ENHANCE was cited as one of the examples in the latest SNSF newsletter. Our project ENHANCE just started in January 2025. It is a collaboration between Saskia Bindschedler (PI, Université de Neuchâtel), Natacha Bodenhausen (co-PI, Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL) and Alexandra Homsy (co-PI, HE-Arc - Haute École Arc, HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale). We will pursue a new approach to combat soil-borne fungal pathogens using biological methods based on the interaction between bacteria and fungi and microfluidics. We will conduct field trials and initiate dialogue between researchers and producers to ensure that our solutions will be feasible and available in real-world applications (more information here: https://lnkd.in/exZbrwvj). 🤖 🦾🦿 With his project, Alexandre Alahi (EPFL) aims to develop innovative and versatile models that predict human movements accurately and reliably. These features would make the interaction of autonomous systems with humans safer – for example when used in self-driving cars or in social robots. This project has become a reality thanks to the SNSF’s support: It is one of 403 groundbreaking #research projects that the SNSF is financing with a total of 314 million Swiss francs under its largest #funding scheme.
