Growing a culture of philanthropy is a mission we share with JCF. Jersey should look to balance its ambitions as an IFC and offshore tax location with investment in local, community driven projects and lifeline charitable initiatives. Local professional advisers can guide HNWI to understand this crucial investment into arts, science, culture, education and lifeline services that keep Jersey’s soul and community alive. CSR leads acting for corporates also have a part to play in channeling resources to projects that have real, on-island impact. There should be space for us all to live, grow and thrive. 👉Sign up to JCF’s event on 02 May at The Royal Yacht, 9.30am to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eJYutcqJ Or Send us a message and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Looking for ideas to help boost your charity's Individual Giving programme? Here are my favourite articles/blog posts/books/podcasts on the topic 📚 : Blog post: “How sharing can inspire donations for free”, Fundraising UK Ltd – a fascinating insight into the value of each social media share by your supporters. Ultimately, how to grow a network of donors without a big ad budget. https://lnkd.in/eBbFzMcv Article: “Why charities should focus on donor loyalty”, Charity Digital. This contains case studies on charities that have made improvements to their donor journey, and an explanation of why small changes can bring about big increases in income. https://lnkd.in/enkNJbMy Bright Spot podcast with Rob Woods episode 76: "Thanking – how to go the extra mile" with Laura Croudace, and episode 75 – "How to test, prototype and implement new fundraising ideas" with Craig Linton. I was really inspired by the idea of testing, testing, testing, because it allows us to try out different ideas before committing. "The Power of Moments" book by Chip and Dan Heath – incredible insight into how to add a little sparkle to our donors’ experience of giving. I hope you find them useful too! Feel free to share your favourites. #charity #fundraisingideas #individualgiving

Do you think woman & girls should be free from the threat, fear or acts of violence? Of course you do, but they aren’t, even in Jersey. Take a minute to consider the following stats, pulled from the recent report on Violence Against Women and Girls in Jersey. 👉 More than three quarters of general public survey respondents had experienced sexual harassment in the last 12-months. 👉 One in four general public survey respondents have experienced rape and/or attempted rape in their lifetime. 👉 Almost two thirds of general public survey respondents did not agree that the Courts in Jersey take physical forms of VAWG seriously. But you can help mend our community by understanding the scope of the problem and resolving to take action. Kate Wright and her taskforce have lifted the lid on this shocking ‘hidden problem’ and have outlined ways in which we can help. Take a look at her post below or simply share it and keep this conversation alive. Read the report and view more resources here 👉https://lnkd.in/e5CxUJBh
