Property Compliance Officer Location: St Helier, Jersey About Us: Columbia Group is a leading property development and investment company, committed to excellence in maintaining and enhancing the properties within our portfolio. Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and diligent Property Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our properties comply with all relevant regulations and standards. Previous experience in property management is advantageous but not a prerequisite, as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and ensure compliance with local and industry-specific regulations and laws regarding property management. - Conduct regular inspections and audits of properties to identify potential compliance risks and areas requiring improvement. - Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date with current legislation. - Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and internal teams to address compliance issues promptly. - Maintain detailed records of compliance activities, including inspection reports, compliance certifications, and correspondence with regulatory bodies. - Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters. - Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Strong understanding of compliance standards and regulations within the property sector. - Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and property management software. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Previous experience in property management is advantageous but not required.
