This week, we've been supporting Team 'Vapour Speed' at the Jersey regional finals of the F1 STEM racing challenge at Highlands College, Jersey supported by Digital Jersey. Team 'Vapour Speed' came 3rd in the Entry Level Class which was tailored to age and experience.    This is the first time the global challenge for 9 to 19 years olds has been to Jersey. Teams had to build and test their small-scale Formula 1 car taking into consideration all aspects of design, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, sponsorship, pit lane presentation, aerodynamics and testing. The cars were given to a scrutineering panel on race day to check the car complies with exact regulations and dimensional specifications, as well as providing portfolios on their business and engineering.   The judging panel included automotive and mechanical engineering specialists as well our very own Michelle Holley-Price who was impressed by the teams' project management skills, given the complexity of the project. #GreatMindsAlways #STEM #FutureCareers #ProjectManagement
