Diwali is one of the biggest and most important holidays of the year for a lot of our colleagues at Saltgate. The festival gets its name from the row of clay lamps that are lit and left outside homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. The Festival of Lights is a beautiful celebration that honors the victory of good over evil. The EPIC Saltgate Summit. Every two year’s, Saltgate gathers all colleagues from their three offices together for two days of team building, business updates and lots of fun! It’s a great opportunity for colleagues to meet people face to face, chat with those they don’t usually get the opportunity to and often meet someone new! This year we broke out into teams to film some fun client pitches, brainstorm a ‘blue-sky’ idea and took part in the Master of Tasks, which was so much fun. This month we have been celebrating Black History Month. This month is dedicated to reflecting on important moments, people and progress in black history, whilst also acknowledging the difficulties the black community still faces today. It also gives us the opportunity to share and understand the impact of black heritage and culture. The best way to support positive change is to educate ourselves, so every week Saltgate have provided their colleagues with various resources, through podcasts and webinars to help us better understand and celebrate black culture. Saltgate are also extremely lucky to have colleagues who were willing to share their own experiences of being a member of the black community.
