Yesterday, we had the opportunity to attend a one-hour “Alcohol Conversations Training” workshop led by the fantastic Michael Ellefsen and Steve Gay. The session focused on how to approach health conversations with friends and loved ones, utilizing the Alcohol AUDIT tool alongside FRAMES motivational interviewing techniques. We also learned how to offer helpful advice and direct people to the right community support and services here in Jersey. We highly recommend this workshop and encourage others to invite Michael and Steve to have these important conversations.
