No matter how “right” and good the CRM that was chosen is, my experience is that the absence of effective and sufficient training and change management, lead to low user adoption. We have to remember that the the CRM is the tool, the Process is the journey and the People are the focus. If the People are not effectively and sufficiently trained and the changes being introduced are not managed, then optimal user adoption will not be achieved. Without achieving optimal user adoption, the “right” CRM becomes a “spend” and not an investment and the Process becomes an onerous “task” and not a welcomed journey.
