“Dialogue session discusses opportunities for youth participation in agriculture “ JEPA organized a panel discussion entitled "The Sustainability Plan of the Project of Creating Attractive Opportunities for Livelihood of Youth in the Agriculture". In partnership with the Finn Church Aid (FCA). The session aims to support youth startups and associations benefiting from the project that serve the agricultural sector, by discussing the challenges and obstacles facing these companies, discussing proposed solutions to develop their businesses, and benefiting from the experiences of JEPA and its members. The session was attended by JEPA Board members and FCA organization, representatives from startups and associations, as well as consultants in startups. This session is the first in a series of sessions that will be held periodically to enhance the role of youth and integrate startups and associations with the wider agricultural sector. #JEPA #FCA

Within the activities of the (Bothoor) project funded by AICS and in cooperation with JPII, JEPA concluded its participation through the associations benefiting from the project in the 16th Pomegranate and Rural Products Festival - Irbid, which was held at Arabella Mall during the period 24-26/ October. #JEPA

Within the activities of the "Bothoor" project that funded by the AICS, JEPA participated in cooperation with COOPI abd JPII in the trainings organized in the governorates of Mafraq and Jerash for the project beneficiaries during the period from 23/9/2024 until 9/10/2024, where the training included how to manufacture dairy products, cheeses, jams, juices, and sweets. #JEPA #COOPI #Bothoorproject #AICS #JPII

Within the activities of the project "Creating Attractive Opportunities for Livelihood of Youth in Agricultural " COOL-YA, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by the Finn Church Aid FCA, JEPA organised a meeting between the youth committee of students and graduates of the faculties of agriculture established by FCA, who represent stakeholders from the public and private sectors and actors in the agricultural sector, in order to enable youth to express their opinions on the challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector and to learn about the latest developments, projects and interventions in the agricultural sector. This meeting is the second in a series of meetings aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of youth in leadership and negotiation, which contributes to developing their capabilities in a sustainable manner. #JEPA #FCA

JEPA in cooperation with the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, organized an awareness workshop aimed at raising awareness about technical conformity requirements and the importance of obtaining certificates of conformity, quality, organic agriculture, Global GAP and Halal. The Board Member of JEPA and representative of the National Export Strategy Committee, Mr. Zuhair Juwaihan, welcomed the attendees. The workshop was attended by a number of beneficiaries of projects implemented by JEPA and JEPA members, where the latest international requirements were discussed within the activities of the National Export Strategy. The workshop witnessed positive interaction, as ideas and discussions were exchanged on the importance of compliance with international standards to ensure the quality of products and increase their competitiveness in global markets. This initiative comes within the framework of the efforts of JEPA and the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization to enhance the efficiency of the agricultural sector and motivate participants to improve the level of their products by adhering to international standards. #JEPA #JSMO

On Tuesday 24/9/2024, the Chairman of JEPA, Mr. Mazen Hamarneh, met with the Executive Director of Commercial Air Cargo for Royal Jordanian (RJ), Mr. Khaled Al-Khawaldeh, and some of the JEPA's exporting members to discuss air freight matters and opening new markets. The meeting comes within a series of meetings between the two parties on the sidelines of the Memorandum of understanding signed between JEPA and RJ, as this memorandum aims to create a strategic partnership between the two parties to facilitate Jordanian export products and facilitate air freight operations over the next five years. #JEPA

On Tuesday 23/9/2024, the Chairman of JEPA, Mr. Mazen Hamarneh, and JEPA members met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Jordan, Mr. "Metin Kazak" at JEPA’s headquarters. Mr. Mazen discussed with the Ambassador ways to enhance and deepen economic and investment cooperation relations with the Bulgarian side. The meeting also discussed the issue of agricultural exports during the winter season, as the Ambassador expressed his interest in Jordanian dates and olive oil products, pointing out the need to hold continuous meetings between the two parties through the Chambers of Commerce to agree on the issue of trade exchange. Mr. Mazen stressed that Jordan has many investment components, the most important of which are the security and stability that Jordan enjoys, in addition to the young and qualified human resources and their major role in entrepreneurship and stimulating and activating the national economy. The investment law came within the best international practices, and there are a large number of free trade agreements linking Jordan with many countries to enter goods and exports to many global markets. On the sidelines of the meeting, it was agreed to hold meetings with the parties concerned with promoting Bulgarian investments, in addition to organizing visits for businessmen from Bulgaria to learn about the business environment and investment opportunities in Jordan. #JEPA

The Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Khaled Al-Hunaifat, received the chairman of JEPA, Mr. Mazen Hamarneh and JEPA members. Mr. Mazen and JEPA members congratulated the Minister on the occasion of the renewal of the royal confidence. The Minister stressed the continuation, cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and JEPA to support the agricultural sector, as well as work to overcome the obstacles that hinder the work of the association. #JEPA
