🗺 Daikin World Air Survey 💨 Let's check the result ⬇ The survey involved 1,200 participants from 12 cities around the globe. It sheds light on the diverse attitudes and usage patterns of air conditioning in different regions. 👀 How many months do people use air conditioners (cooling) at home in a year❓ ▪ Bangkok, Thailand topped the list with an average of 10.4 months of AC use, followed closely by Lagos, Nigeria with 9.5 months. Furthermore, 70% of people in Bangkok and 53% in Lagos reported using AC for “12 months (1 year).” ▪ Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and New Delhi, India are considered hot cities. The average number of months of AC use in these two cities is 7.9 months and 7.0 months, but the percentages of people using AC for “12 months” were 18% and 16%, considerably lower than in Bangkok and Lagos. Let's check the result ⬇ 👀 How many hours a day do people use air conditioners in summer ❓ ▪ People in Houston were found to use air conditioners the longest with 17.2 hours, and a surprising 41% of Houston residents used them for 24 hours. ▪ The cities with the second and third longest hours of use were Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with 14.9 hours, and New York with 12.6 hours. It seems to have become commonplace for people in the U.S. where central air conditioning systems are widely adopted, to “leave their air conditioners on all the time” rather than turning them on and off frequently. 🌏 Daikin has conducted the inaugural "Daikin World Air Survey" 💡  🌈 This survey primarily highlights how people in 12 cities worldwide perceive and use air conditioners in their daily lives, exploring the differences and commonalities among cities!! What this survey finds... 😎 ▶ Tokyo, Japan has the highest average set temperature for air conditioners at 79.2℉/26.2ºC, while Lagos, Nigeria, has the lowest at 71.4℉/21.9ºC. ▶ In Houston, approximately 40% of people use air conditioners for 24 hours a day in summer, with an average daily usage of 17.2 hours, the longest among 12 cities. ▶ “Energy efficiency” is the top priority for purchasing air conditioners in 11 out of 12 cities.
