Step back in time with a Samurai-themed party at Fukuyama Castle! In September 2024, Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture was designated as an International Conference Tourism City by Japan Tourism Agency, paving the way to attract and support more business events with the help of JNTO. At the heart of Fukuyama, just steps from Fukuyama Station, stands the iconic Fukuyama Castle, which can also serve as a unique venue for special gatherings. Here, you can treat your guests to an unforgettable Castle Party, a special event that can be held either on the grounds in front of the castle’s main keep or in the expansive northern plaza. With a stunning medieval setting featuring traditional battlefield curtains, war banners, and fire baskets against the illuminated castle, this immersive experience transports guests to the world of the Samurai. For an even more exclusive experience, consider hosting your event in one of the castle’s indoor spaces, such as the Tsukimi-yagura Turret, a two-story structure with a large tatami room and reception facilities, or the Daimyo’s Bathhouse (O-yudono), located directly south of the main keep. This spacious 33-mat tatami room (about 60 sqm) exudes a serene ambiance, ideal for intimate gatherings and receptions, with a beautiful view of the castle keep adding an extra touch of elegance to any occasion. Elevate your event experience at Yashima, where nature meets history just outside of central Takamatsu! Located in the northeastern part of Takamatsu City, Yashima is a stunning table-top mountain surrounded by steep cliffs. Designated as a national historic site and natural monument, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and culture. In August 2022, Yashimāru, the Yashima Mountaintop Facility, opened as a vibrant hub for visitors. A new era of city-wide business events is emerging in the heart of Tokyo! Directly connected to Takanawa Gateway Station, TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY is a large-scale urban development project which is being implemented in Tokyo’s Shinagawa district, scheduled to open in March 2025. Here, the concept of transforming an entire area into a dynamic venue for business events is becoming a reality. At the heart of this development is the TAKANAWA GATEWAY Convention Center, also opening in 2025, with bookings already available from July 2024. This cutting-edge facility is designed to accommodate everything from academic conferences and international conventions to product launches and shareholder meetings. The centerpiece, LINKPILLAR Hall, can host up to 2,000 attendees, making it one of the largest venues with direct access to a train station in central Tokyo. In addition to the indoor convention center, TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY offers the opportunity to organize events in its expansive outdoor spaces, including a 6,500-square-meter plaza, meaning that the city itself will become a unique venue. Sustainability is a key focus of the project, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and measures that contribute to eco-friendly event operations. Efforts are also underway to preserve and restore the historical Takanawa Embankment, a relic of Japan’s first railway dating back to 1872. Scheduled to open to the public in 2027, this site will provide visitors with a unique glimpse into Shinagawa’s rich history. https://lnkd.in/gydVc_YK #Tokyo #meetingplanners #meetingsandevents #eventprofs #eventplanning
