Marelli recently had the privilege of engaging with Jan Griffiths, President and Founder of Gravitas Detroit, during a hybrid session held in our Customer Experience Center in Michigan, US. She offered insights from her best-seller, "AutoCulture 2.0," on the necessary shift toward modern leadership as the automotive sector undergoes its greatest transformation. Moderated by our Head of Global Marketing, Lisa Van Giesen, the session was not just informative but also transformative. Jan’s forward-looking perspective and enthusiastic call for more inclusive and dynamic leadership, infused with her engaging Welsh humor, motivated attendees both in-person and online to embrace a new leadership era in our industry. We are grateful to Jan for being with us and for bolstering our modern approach to collaborative automotive innovation. #Marelli

Back to another inspiring journey from “Women Who Inspire”, our very own format dedicated to Marelli Women. Here’s the story of Jos Tai, who works in the Automotive Lighting and Sensing business in China. The first year after joining Marelli she faced numerous challenges as she had to learn how to manage completely new products, adapt to new company procedures and culture, work with a larger project team and new teammates. All of this whilst dealing with demanding customers, who had high standards for product quality. However, after successfully launching a project within a year, she received recognition and was promoted. She felt grateful for the opportunity considering she had not achieved a senior level yet, meaning Marelli was committed to provide a fair working environment for all employees, regardless of age, gender or years of working experience. During her 12 years in Marelli, she’s had several opportunities to take on more responsibilities, thanks to Marelli's equitable and transparent performance evaluation process and reward system, which has motivated her to continuously improve and perform better. She hopes the Marelli Women Community can keep providing more support to overcome professional difficulties and create a more enabling environment for female employees to thrive. Stay tuned for our next story! #MarelliWomen

The Vehicle Domain Control Module (VDCM), 2024 Automotive News Pace Award finalist, is a multi-domain controller that seamlessly integrates propulsion, thermal management and chassis domains, essentially acting as a kind of propulsion supervisor. After receiving the torque requests from the driver and various car systems, the VDCM determines the optimal torque to apply. In hybrid propulsion, it also allocates the most efficient split between electric and internal combustion motors. The integration of different supervisory domains has several benefits: ▶️ Elimination of at least 3 control units, reducing the weight and complexity of the electrical/electronic architecture. ▶️ Cost savings. ▶️ Performance improvements due to lower latency in data exchange between domains. ▶️ Higher automotive safety integrity (ASIL). Furthermore, the VDCM serves as the foundation block of Marelli Zone platform, that can be upscaled to become a zonal controller for future electric cars’ architectures. #Marelli

President & CEO, Board Member of Marelli and Koki

India is the world’s third largest vehicle market today.  I enjoyed time in Delhi last week where I am always amazed by how dynamic and vibrant the country and our team is!  We at Marelli see it as a huge growth opportunity.  We are further localizing our capabilities and capacities to co-create with local vehicle makers. We will continue to develop at our Delhi Gurugram & Bengaluru tech centers in electronics and software solutions for the vehicles of the future worldwide, already expanded 2x over last 2-years and we will double it again going forward. We will also continue to expand our local manufacturing footprint. It is especially important to our customers that we are working with them to further localize the supply chain of critical technology Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers.  The week was filled with inspiring meetings with local customers discussing the specific dynamics of this emerging market – as well as great discussions with our highly engaged local Marelli colleagues and teams.  I’m proud that we have Ravi Tallapragada, President of Marelli Electronics, based in India running our second largest business globally from India. I’m sure in the near future we will have a second global business leader based in India. I’m also proud of our new India Country Manager, Saju Mookken, for his leadership both internally as well as on our several JV partnership boards. The changes in our industry around electrification, vehicle architectures and software will require us to work, without boundaries, across our partnerships to serve our customers now and in the future. A big thank you to the India team for the warm welcome and hospitality! And, thanks to all our Marelli employees for the contributions you are making.

In July, our Marelli team in Brazil carried out a campaign focused on workplace ergonomics, an area of study that aims at creating working conditions which favor employees' health. The day evolved around the concept of movement and several activities were organized for our #MarelliPeople, who gathered to follow guidance courses on correct posture, workplace gymnastics and massaging techniques. Thank you Thifany Martins for sharing! #Marelli

We are proud to announce we are finalists for both the 2025 Automotive News Pace Award and the Automotive News PACEpilot Award! The innovations that were selected for these awards are the Digital OLED Taillight and the Fully Active Electromechanical Suspension: ➡️ The optional Digital OLED Taillight 2.0, equipped on the Audi Q6 e-tron model, increases vehicle personalization and enables communication with the surrounding environment for traffic safety. ➡️ The Fully Active Electromechanical Suspension actively controls the vertical dynamics of a vehicle’s suspension efficiently and without oil, thanks to the presence of four actuators. #Marelli

"Life is not about waiting out the storm, but about learning to dance in the rain". That's one of Anna Kołodziej's favorite mottos, a "golden thought" to remind her to always persevere and look forward. Anna is an Aftermarket Supply Chain Management Specialist in Poland for Marelli. She is responsible for planning materials for the Polish and Italian warehouses. When she first joined Marelli in 2014, she used to work with customers, logistics, distribution and other sectors and she says it took her a great deal of time to get used to it. Today, she takes care of Supply Chain Management and she oversees several activities: conducting analyses, checking clients and suppliers' backorders, taking part in internal/external meetings and solving problems. “Everything may be distant, but nothing is attainable”. While recalling the moment when the Marelli Aftermarket business Logistics Team received one of the five 2021 CEO Excellence Awards for the Advanced Distribution Model, Anna states how significant this moment was for her. It proved that even though things may look far away from us, nothing is impossible. #MarelliPeople
