Proud to share Veryan Medical’s recycling initiatives at Galway office! Their great commitment to sustainability is making a positive impact on the environment.
The Veryan Medical Galway Office Waste Recycling Initiative has achieved 800 kg of recycling and is on target to hit 1000 kg for the year! What happens to all that recycling? Our recycling company Barna Recycling said: “The material we collect from you is sent in shredded form to a tissue mill in the UK, where it is made into tissue paper, blue rolls, or disposable urine containers for the medical industry. You also bring in mixed recycling across our weighbridge. This material is sorted in our picking station. We process it into streams, such as plastic bottles, plastic film, paper, cardboard, and metals, and we bale and send it to recycling facilities for final recycling. Typically, plastics are shredded, cleaned and made back into flakes to be re-used as plastics. Paper and cardboard are processed by board mill back into paper or packaging products, and metal is recycled into new metals.” Thank you to Shane Grimes for the photo :-) #Sustainability #Recycling #Galway
