    Sony AI Deputy President, Peter Wurman, alongside co-inventors Mick Mountz and Raffaello D'Andrea, has been inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame for the invention of the groundbreaking Mobile Robotics Fulfillment System. Wurman, Mounts, and D’Andrea were selected for this recognition by an expert panel of 70 well-known personalities from the business, science, politics, and media sectors in 13 nations. This is Wurman’s second Hall of Fame induction. He was named as a member of the 2022 National Inventors Hall of Fame class for the same contribution.     Senior research scientist Kaushik Subramanian sat down with Traxion.GG recently to discuss new, exploratory research from Sony AI’s Gaming & Interactive Agents team titled, "A Super-human Vision-based RL Agent for Autonomous Racing in Gran Turismo." In the research, Sony AI introduces a super-human car racing agent whose sensor input is purely local to the car, namely pixels from an ego-centric camera view and quantities that can be sensed from on-board the car, such as the car’s velocity. By leveraging global features only at training time, the learned agent is able to outperform the best human drivers in time trial (one car on the track at a time) races using only local input features.     As part of the UN Secretary-General's High-level Advisory Body on AI, Sony Group CTO Hiroaki Kitano has been working alongside experts from around the world on a set of guidelines to govern AI in a way that doesn't leave anyone behind.
