Why are writing instruments like pens, mechanical pencils, and markers hard to recycle❓🖊️ They’re made of multiple materials, including plastics, metals, and more, which adds extra steps and costs to the recycling process. But just because writing instruments are hard to recycle doesn’t mean they can’t be recycled at all—you can recycle them with TerraCycle! 👉 Contact us to find a sustainable solution for your company’s writing utensils: https://lnkd.in/eGiM2RDR 👉 Or purchase a Zero Waste Box for your school or office today: https://lnkd.in/etDDY6uc

TerraCycle is Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by recycling the unrecyclable and reducing disposability at its source.
概要
TerraCycle is Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by developing solutions to recycle the unrecyclable—items that aren’t typically curbside recyclable like cosmetics, candy wrappers, chewing gum, and even cigarette butts. We work with environmentally-conscious startups and some of the world’s biggest brands to recycle their products into raw material, which is then sold to manufacturing companies. Those manufacturers then use the materials to make new products like outdoor furniture and decking, plastic shipping pallets, tubes for construction applications, playground surface covers, and more. We’ve even recycled ocean plastic into shampoo bottles and toothpaste tubes into playgrounds! We’re continuously pioneering new and innovative recycling, reuse, and recycled content solutions for your trash. Join us in Eliminating the Idea of Waste® by visiting terracycle.com.

Loop Japan congratulates our partner Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. brand Pocari Sweat for winning a Clio award for its song in an animation created to engage consumers and communicate the important message of the need to return their durable bottles of Pocari to be cleaned and reused through the Loop platform (which enables brands to shift from single-use disposable to beautiful, durable reusable packaging reducing waste and driving circularity). TerraCycle’s mission is Eliminating the Idea of Waste®; that’s why we proudly support a reduction in the production of virgin or new plastics. Our global reuse platform, Loop, has been helping brands and retailers reduce their dependence on plastics by creating reusable versions of their products’ packaging since its founding in 2019. TerraCycle and Loop will keep working with world leaders in sustainability, like the World Economic Forum and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, to share our expertise on reuse and recycling. And, while we continue to expand with key partners like Monoprix and Carrefour in France and Aeon in Japan, you can also find us advocating for reuse at events like PAC Global and INC-4, both held in Canada this year. We're glad to share educational insights from Bertrand SWIDERSKI, Carrefour's Head of Sustainability, regarding our Carrefour recycling kiosk! In this video, he walks us through our innovative solution, which is available at select Carrefour supermarket stores in France. People can drop off 6 different types of waste for recycling, including razors, toothbrushes, tights, makeup, pens, and even pans, and be rewarded with coupons thanks to our Recycle+Save web app.
Ready for an inside scoop on how TerraCycle recycles hard-to-recycle trash? When our TerraCyclers recycle with TerraCycle, their trash will always end up at one of our TerraCycle material recovery facilities (MRFs). Then, the magic happens… Once the trash is checked in, it’s sorted and cleaned before it is recycled into raw materials. Those raw materials are then used to make new items like benches, watering cans, shipping pallets, and more—giving hard-to-recycle trash a whole new life!
