In 1879, Japan was undergoing rapid economic development. To further enable global trade, businesses needed a mechanism to insure their cargo. That's how Tokio Marine was born. The world has since changed beyond recognition, as has our business. Our values, however, remain the same. Whether we are providing insurance, implementing risk mitigation measures, or working with partners to accelerate the introduction of new technologies, our purpose has and always will be clear: We are there for our customers and society in their times of need. Driven by our desire to build a better tomorrow, we will continue to work tirelessly to address the biggest challenges of our era. Inspiring Confidence. Accelerating Progress. We are Tokio Marine Group. #tokiomarine #insurance #risk #riskmanagement #resilience #innovation

Turnout for our recent talk session on LGBTQ+ issues was fantastic, with about 400 people in attendance from across the Tokio Marine Group companies in Japan. We also had the privilege of welcoming external members of the LGBTQ+ community, and had a lively discussion shaped by pre-submitted questions. Participants were able to deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by the community, as well as learn how to become a better ally. It was a truly amazing session and a valuable opportunity for everyone in attendance. #tokiomarinegroup #people #dei
