Vinson & Elkins has successfully advised Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) in a landmark deal. Skyborn Renewables, a portfolio company of Global Infrastructure Partners, has acquired a 50% stake in the Revolution Wind and South Fork Wind projects from Eversource Energy. Notably, South Fork is the first operational utility-scale offshore wind project in the US, while Revolution Wind is among the first fully permitted projects now under construction. At Vinson & Elkins, we honor #HispanicHeritageMonth through the story of our associate, Karina Pereira. Her mother fled Cuba in the 1960s, and her grandfather risked everything to reunite the family. Today, Karina is an attorney dedicated to uplifting her community by focusing on representation and mentorship for aspiring Hispanic lawyers to create a more inclusive legal landscape. #WeAreVE

With a spirit of camaraderie, our London Office took to the field at the Law Society Festival of Sport in Richmond, showcasing their talent in netball, football, and rugby 7s. Over 20 members, including current staff and future trainees, joined, with many supporting from the sidelines. V&E demonstrated impressive teamwork at the tournament, with the women’s netball and men’s rugby 7s teams reaching the quarter-finals. The men’s football team advanced to the semi-finals, narrowly missing the finals. This experience built strong teamwork, leading to plans for training and strategy discussions for next year’s tournament! #WeAreVE #TeamBuilding
