XEBEC Ceramic Stone™ Soft is used for cleaning in a variety of industrial and hobbyist applications. This video shows how it can be used to clean bicycle rims to maintain braking performance and reduce brake noise. Cleaning bicycle rims can be quite an arduous task. However, this ceramic stick makes it relatively easy because it is slightly narrower than the rim and bends to fit the rim contour. XEBEC Ceramic Stone™ Soft uses rubber binder with sufficient abrasiveness to remove brake residue without damaging rims. XEBEC Technology’s annual mold polishing contest is underway at INTERMOLD Osaka from April 17 to 19. Contestants have 3 minutes to polish a SKD11 sample (machined to surface roughness Ra0.8 to 1.2 micron) using their preferred mix of XEBEC Ceramic Stone dressing sticks. The XEBEC Burrless Chamfering Cutter has won Germany’s Best of Industry Award (machining category). This is the second time a XEBEC product has won this prestigious German award. The XEBEC Burr Cutter and Deburring Tool Path won the same award in 2018. We wish to thank our German distributor, Kempf GmbH, for their tireless promotion of the Burrless Chamfering Cutter. The winners of the Best of Industry Award 2023 were announced at a ceremony in Würzburg on December 7. The award was accepted on behalf of XEBEC Technology by Kempf’s Michael Minich (right) and Sascha Schmalian (left). The other finalists in the machining category were Paul Horn GmbH and Beijing Jingdiao Group.
