Do you know that the logo of our beloved "KURO-NEKO" has changed? Yamato logo has been used as the corporate brand mark. This logo has been passed down from the generation to the generation and we continue moving forward. On April 1, 2021, our black cats logo has changed. We replaced the traditional outlined oval with soft and expansive ellipse. The idea of kuro-neko itself, carrying the all-important kitten in her mouth, will not change. We keep developing the comprehensive services to gain the trust of our customers to be even more thorough and more refined. This is one of Yamato Group’s commitments to create the sustainable delivery service.To make the decision of our new logo we thought of every potential design of kuro-neko logo and every detail of every shape including eyes and ears.  The newly designed logo presents the commitment of Yamato Group to challenge providing new value and boldly facing the new changes in society. Symbol Mark The Yamato logomark will continue to serve as the corporate brand mark representing the entire Yamato Group, but will be updated with a new design. Advanced logomark The advanced logomark symbolizes the commitment of Yamato Group companies to the challenge of providing new value. We will use this logomark as a symbol of the challenge of offering new value while remaining unbound by preconceptions and boldly facing the new changes in both society and the supply change. The Story of the Birth of the Kuroneko Mark.. The birth of the Kuroneko Oyako (parent and child) mark, which has become a familiar symbol of Yamato, originated with Allied Van Lines, an American company with which Yamato formed a business alliance in 1957. Mr. Yasuomi Ogura, who sympathized with the meaning of "careful handling" in the company's parent-and-child cat mark, obtained permission from James Cummins of the company to use the mark. The mark was designed by Takeshi Shimizu, who was in charge of public relations at Yamato Unyu (now Yamato Transport). His daughter's crayon drawing of a parent and child cat on construction paper provided the inspiration for the mark, which was completed in June of the same year. The official company emblem is a "Y" on a cherry blossom, but the cat mark became an associate emblem in 1985. #YamatoTransport #BlackCat #Cat
