About us
The Art for Children Foundation (A4C) is a non-profit NGO headquartered in Naivasha - Kenya, registered with the NGOs Coordination Board and recognised by the Department of Child Services. At A4C, we believe that when we integrate art, mentorship, and ICT, we will address and establish sustainable solutions against child violence. This is by enabling children identify their artistic abilities and to grow into responsible citizen leadership. Currently, our 3 flagship projects are: 1. Nakuru Children Art & Mentorship Programme (NACAMP) 2. Ubunifu Centre, and 3. Hii Sanaa (HISANA) Our mission is to provide an environment for every child to discover and nurture their artistic abilities and creativity in art. In our quest for provision of safe quality art-based programs and events, we are guided by our five (5) core values. These are values carefully chosen in a manner to support our; vision, mission, identity, organisational culture, decision making processes, among others. They are as follows: i. Collaboration: We seek to collaborate with like-minded organizations and people, to meet our objectives. ii. Transparency: We are trustworthy and transparent about our operations, in consideration with our values. iii. Integrity: We uphold high morals and ethical standards in all our operations. iv. Respect: We uphold high respect within the foundation, our beneficiaries, and the community at large. v. Service: We are committed to serve the community as our mission dictates.

How do you create Safe Spaces for open conversations? During our last week's training with the Bus Scholarship Fund beneficiaries, we encouraged openness by allowing participants to anonymously submit their questions on various topics. This gave everyone the freedom to express concerns, ask tough questions, and engage in meaningful discussions without fear or judgment. By addressing these issues head-on, we are preparing our beneficiaries to not only succeed in their vocational training but also navigate the challenges they may face in life. At the Art for Children Foundation, we believe that fostering open, honest dialogue is key to empowering young adults and ensuring they are fully prepared for the future. #BusScholarshipFund #1000Strong #oneThousandStrong #SafeSpaces

We’ve wrapped up an incredible one-week training program with our #Bus #Scholarship #Fund beneficiaries! Last Saturday, we held our final session at The Children’s Village Trust, for a blend of deep learning and fun activities. Our beneficiaries, along with high schoolers and young adults from the home, explored important topics such as #mentalhealth , #Drugs & #substanceabuse, Personal Growth, the #Constitution of #Kenya, and #Intimate #Relationships. All sessions were led by dynamic female trainers who brought their #expertise to the table. In between sessions, we enjoyed games of UNO and cards – because learning happens in more ways than one!
