About us
FIND seeks to ensure equitable access to reliable diagnosis around the world. We connect countries and communities, funders, decision-makers, healthcare providers and developers to spur diagnostic innovation and make testing an integral part of sustainable, resilient health systems. We are co-convener of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator diagnostics pillar, and a WHO Collaborating Centre for Laboratory Strengthening and Diagnostic Technology Evaluation. Founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2003, we have regional hubs in Kenya, India, South Africa and Viet Nam. With partners across the public and private sectors, we are working to make sure that everyone who needs a test can get one.

Some risk factors for developing TB include: weakened immune systems, living with diabetes, living with HIV, and being malnourished, among others. Yesterday, our Director of Pandemic Threats, Dr Emmanuel Agogo MD MSc MtropMed FRCGP HonMFPH, gave an insightful presentation and joined a panel alongside speakers from Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc., Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory Services Limited, and Codix Pharma Ltd at the National Summit on Diagnostics in Abuja, Nigeria. In his presentation and interventions, he shared lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic and opportunities in the field of pandemic preparedness, highlighting the need for better collaboration to build diagnostic capacity in countries like Nigeria. Key opportunities: 👉Developing a diagnostics preparedness roadmap 👉Strengthening biobanks & lab networks 👉Aligning with the WHO collaborative surveillance framework 👉Using data-driven strategies for pathogen diagnostics & outbreak response to benefit countries 👉Advocate for the deployment of tests in global discussions 👉Breaking silos between universal health coverage & health emergencies—they’re two sides of the same coin! Through the ACCEDE project, we are working to improve equity in access to continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)—a tool that can transform health and quality of life, ensuring that people living with diabetes have the tools they need to manage their condition effectively.
