  • The Veterinary Science Research Institute VSRI has the honor to be listed as an AMR Surveillance and diagnostic site under the Fleming Fund phase 2 country grants for Kenya. This means that the institute joins other partners in combating AMR through generation and sharing of data at both national and international scale. The project will support infrastructural and human capacity building to ensure efficiency in AMR research and reporting in Poultry or dairy value chains. To jump start the process a team from the DVS and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) visited the institute to conduct a needs assessment. The partnerships will generate the required impetus and momentum in mitigating the impacts of AMR on Public and environmental health.
