    A week ago I had the honour of being hosted at a fireside chat by the phenomenal Philana Mugyenyi the Co-chair of the African Chapter of 50/50 Women On Boards - Nairobi, Kenya The fireside chat was part of the formal launch of the African Chapter, with Nairobi having the privilege of being the first city in Africa. To say the room 'was a vibe' is to understate the energy that filled it. The one thing that was common, was the promise that the launch of the Africa chapter held, in enabling women across the continent to pursue bold ambitions. There was so much to take in, but a few things stood out, 1. As women, we must learn to put our hand up - do it scared, but do it anyway 2. Be prepared - You never know when an opportunity will strike, so stay ready 3. Be proud of what you have achieved - be vocal about it, it's your achievement own it!!! 4. Be bold - No one is coming to save you, you had better show up or be shown out!!!!! 5. Your femininity is your power - use it!!!!!! 6. Network - Find allies/sponsors/coaches /mentors both male and female, find them you must!!!!
