Ponlok Chomnes is an initiative by The Asia Foundation to strengthen the capacity of the knowledge sector and inform public policy analysis and dialogue in Cambodia. With support from Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the initiative is strengthening organizational and technical capacity among Cambodian research institutions and creating an enabling environment for policy dialogue.

🤝Community Engagement: Validation of Research Findings 🤝 On 10th October 2024, Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Partners National Institute of Social Affairs in collaboration with Advocacy and Policy Institute (API) and Fisheries Action Coalition Team (FACT), conducted a “Community Engagement: Validation of Research Findings on Climate Change Adaptation Through A Cash-Transfer Program (CTP) in Cambodia – Empirical Experiences from Coastal Communities” in Kampot province. Empowering Indigenous Voices: Climate Resilience and Sustainable Land Rights at CCCS 2024 We are proud to have our Innovation Partner, MVi, joined the discussion on Climate Resilience and Indigenous Land Rights at this year’s Cambodia Climate Change Summit (CCCS) 2024 on 24 October at Sihanoukville! On October 24, 2024, the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) conducted an online workshop to review and discuss the findings and recommendations of the research project entitled “Assessing Social Sciences and Humanities Research Capacity in Cambodia.” Workshop participants included representatives from research institutions, universities, academics and other stakeholders. The fellows have actively participated in lectures, group discussions, defining their research projects, and mentorship sessions.
