FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE St Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association Concludes Successful Robomindset Summer Camp 2024 St Kitts and Nevis – 31 July 2024 – The St Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association (SKNRA) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its annual Robomindset Summer Camp. Held under the theme “Nurturing Innovative and Adaptive Thinking through Robotics,” the camp, sponsored by the @Republic Bank in St Kitts, has proven to be a resounding success, showcasing our commitment to fostering STEM education and inspiring young minds. The Robomindset Summer Camp 2024 ran for three weeks, with sessions conducted simultaneously in both St Kitts and Nevis. This dual-location format allowed the camp to reach a broader audience, offering hands-on robotics and coding experiences to over 60 participants. This year’s camp featured a record number of instructors, with over 21 dedicated professionals providing personalized instruction and support—making it the most well-staffed camp since its inception in 2023. What set this year’s camp apart was the involvement of trainers who will represent St Kitts and Nevis at the FIRST Global Robotics Olympics in Athens, Greece, later this year. Their expertise and international experience added an extra layer of excitement and prestige, providing participants with a unique and enriching learning experience. The camp attracted a diverse group of participants from across the Caribbean and the United States, creating a vibrant and multicultural environment. The students engaged in interactive workshops, real-world challenges, and collaborative projects, which enhanced their understanding and passion for robotics. The camp concluded with an exceptional closing ceremony, celebrating the achievements of all participants. Awards were presented to top performers, and every attendee was recognized for their hard work and dedication. Dr. Ricardo Neil, Founder and Chairman of SKNRA, emphasized that the camp is a vital part of our commitment to national development, highlighting the importance of nurturing innovative and adaptive thinking in today’s youth. "We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Robomindset Summer Camp," said Dr. Neil. "Our goal is to inspire and equip the next generation with the skills and confidence to meet future challenges, and the enthusiasm and talent demonstrated by our participants reaffirm that we are on the right path." SKNRA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Republic Bank for their generous sponsorship and to all volunteers and instructors who contributed to the camp’s success. Their support and dedication are instrumental in advancing our mission to promote STEM education and robotics.
