Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is a rapid decline in kidney function within 48hours / to 7 days, sharply reducing GFR. Early detection is key, improving outcomes and preventing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Kidneys may not show damage until it’s severe.
