On September 11, 2024, ECCK held the Busan Information Session on Women Leadership at the Wyndham Grand Busan. The session followed the success of the Women Leadership event in Seoul, which took place last April. We were honored to have Ms. María Castillo Fernández, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, and Ms. Isabel Puig, CEO of IKEA Korea Ltd., join us for the Busan Chapter. Approximately 40 guests attended the event, engaging in valuable networking and speaker sessions. ECCK President Stefan Ernst delivered the opening remarks, while Busan Chapter Representative Andrew Millard stood in as the MC for the event. The event commenced with networking over canapés in the Mare Hall. Specially this time we could find many female leaders from diverse business sectors. We would like to extend our gratitude to the speakers for their support in being present in Busan, as well as to the participants who made the evening truly meaningful. On September 5, ECCK Chairperson Philippe Van Hoof attended the Roundtable with the Foreign Business Community in Korea hosted by Trade Minister Cheong Inkyo. This Roundtable is to resolve investment difficulties and enhance understanding of major policies through direct communication with foreign chambers of commerce in Korea and foreign-invested companies.
