KCAB INTERNATIONAL's new chairman, Professor Seung Wha Chang, in his interview with Law.asia, has laid out a strategy to enhance the institution's presence in civil law jurisdictions across Asia, including mainland China, Japan, and Taiwan. “The main goal of KCAB INTERNATIONAL for the coming years is to develop it as one of the representative arbitral institutions based in Asia, in particular representing the civil law jurisdictions,” he said. “So, in that regard, we will try to make KCAB INTERNATIONAL distinguishable not only from the KCAB as it used to be, but also from other Asian arbitral institutions.” This effort will be highlighted at the upcoming Seoul ADR Festival 2024, with a focus on the dynamics of renewed Asia ADR landscape.
