#UNOSD is pleased to launch this #UNDESA policy brief on "The #RenewableEnergy Transition and the #GreenHydrogen economy: Ensuring local SDG impacts" Co-authored with Rohit Sen from ICLEI, Green Hydrogen Organisation - GH2 and UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) as part of a series exploring key topics for accelerating #SDGLocalization. 65% of #SDG targets involve Local and Regional Governments #LRGs. There is an urgent need to increase analysis at the local level on the potential of #netzero economy accelerators such as #greenhydrogen. Accelerators like #GreenH2 offer a variety of benefits across the #SDGs, including food security, mobility, water management, industry and job creation. This policy brief highlights that local and regional governments need to be included in analysis of this potential and presents the context and key recommendations for those interested in the #GreenH2 and #NetZero transition at #local level.
