🌳크레버스 한 입 사회 소식_Creverse Society News in a Bite🌏 6월 ② '□ 국민 90% “한국, 기후 위기 직면해 있다” 국민 89.9%가 “현재 대한민국이 기후 위기에 직면해 있다”고 답한 것으로 나타났습니다. 응답자 가운데 90.1%는 “최근 대한민국의 기후변화를 실감한다”며 폭염이 지속할 때, 개화 시기가 변할 때 등 기후변화 현상을 직접 체감한다고도 답했습니다. 실제 느꼈던 기후변화 현상에 대해서는 △장마도 아닌데 폭우가 계속될 때 △폭염이 너무 오래 갈 때 △혹한과 겨울철 이상고온 등 이상 기상 현상을 많이 꼽았습니다. □ 위기의 한반도··· 동·서해안 ‘연안 침식’ 심각 동해안과 서해안 주요 해변에서 연안 침식 피해가 심각한 것으로 확인됐습니다. 조사 결과 18개 해안이 2m 이상 침식 사면이 발생했거나, 해변이 침식돼 배후지가 완충 공간 없이 파랑에 노출된 것으로 나타났습니다. 침식 피해 해변은 대부분 대형 발전소, 항만 시설 등 연안 개발로 인해 인위적인 교란이 발생했으며, 기후변화로 인한 침식 영향이 가중될 것으로 보입니다. 연안 침식은 관광지, 인근 민가 등에 침식, 침수, 풍수해 피해 등 재해 위험을 높이고 있습니다. 기후 위기 적응 대책의 핵심인 재해재난 대비 차원에서 연안 침식 대응이 필요합니다. □ 90% “Korea is facing a climate crisis” 89.9% of South Koreans said that “South Korea is currently facing a climate crisis.” 90.1% of the respondents said, “I feel the recent climate change in Korea,” and 90.1% of the respondents said that they experience climate change phenomena directly, such as prolonged heat waves and changes in flowering seasons. Regarding actual climate change phenomena, respondents cited a number of abnormal weather events, such as heavy rainfall even when it is not the rainy season, heat waves that last too long, and extreme cold and high temperatures in winter. □ Korean Peninsula in Crisis--- Severe 'Coastal Erosion' on East and West Coasts Coastal erosion damage was confirmed to be severe on major beaches on the east and west coasts. According to the survey, 18 beaches have erosion slopes of more than 2 meters, or the beaches have been eroded, leaving the hinterland exposed to the sea without a buffer. Most erosion-affected beaches have experienced anthropogenic disturbance due to coastal development such as large power plants and port facilities, and the erosion impacts of climate change are expected to increase. Coastal erosion increases the risk of disasters such as erosion, inundation, and wind damage to tourist destinations and nearby residences.
