In honor of Mandela Day, members of the Catalyst team dedicated time to doing something good for their local community. Inspired by Nelson Mandela's enduring legacy of community service, 67 Minutes of Change is an initiative that encourages people to dedicate 67-minutes of their time to doing something to give back to their community. "It is in your hands, to make a better world for all who live in it." - Nelson Mandela Catalyst's team in South Africa has been participating in the 67 Minutes of Change initiative for several years, but this year, we decided to take it global and challenge other members of the team to spend an hour during July doing something for their local communities. In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, our Cayman team decided to do a beach clean, clearing 7 bags of trash from just one beach. Members of the team also helped deliver meals on behalf of local charity, Cayman Islands Meals on Wheels. Our South African Team provided the local Lawrence House Orphanage with freshly made sandwiches as well as 2 boxes of toiletries for the kids to enjoy.
