Equip those Galactic Companions 🐹  Today let's get to know 1Existence! Q: How did you get started creating?  A: I entered Web3 around May 2022. While I initially struggled with Blender, after a 30-minute session with PepeGawd, I became more comfortable with it and have been exploring it ever since. I’m still learning, but I’m getting better. Q: Where do you draw inspiration from?  A: My first wearable was created in collaboration with HirotoKai, an RGB hoodie that featured the NTeasee Symbol from Ghana, which represents community coming together to resolve conflict. Later, I collaborated with PunkPink on the Ocean’s Moonlight Dress, inspired by abalone textures and a glowing strip, which he improved upon after gaining more experience. Most recently, I worked with NikkiFuego on the Galactic (Emotional Support) Companion, drawing inspiration from a ferret and using a Galactic meta style from the Cryptofish project. Q: Why Decentraland?  A: True community is built not in the absence of conflict, but in the courage to listen, learn, and grow together. When we unite with compassion and understanding, we create a future brighter than any one of us could imagine alone. The community is diverse and inspiring, and although I work solo most of the time, I do enjoy participating in a party or other events once in a while. The people and their creations keep me coming back.

Today Chrono T AKA Aeon Smash is taking over to share their Decentraland creative journey! 🛠️ Q: How did you get started creating?  A: I remember when I was about 10 years old, I started making flip book animations in small hand notebooks. Then in 2011 I stumbled upon a Blender tutorial. It showed how to turn a cube into a fluid with different viscosities and watch it splash around. This blew my mind! When I finished school in the fall of 2021, I was taking a break to relax and do what I wanted, and I found Decentraland. This also blew my mind! I was like, "Oh man!" But I thought I was too late. I thought, "Wow, I don't have time to even learn how to catch up with these creators." But then I found KJ Walker's Decentraland tutorials and started to learn how to build. Q: Where do you get inspiration from?  A: I draw inspiration from wanting to see and experience something amazing that I haven't before. Even more than seeing such things, the process of making them inspires me to learn. Being in sole control of my creative destiny inspires me to overcome challenges that have, at times, made me want to give up. But then I stand back up and persevere through the challenge, only to look forward to the next one that will humble me again. Q: Why Decentraland?  A: Decentraland is unique. It empowers the community to build. A platform of artists from every expression, supporting and building together! Anything that is new, especially when there are no blueprints for reference, is challenging. At times, it seems impossible—but it should. I have seen so much strength within our ecosystem of creators and innovators. I am so happy to be a part of what we are building here as we adapt to growth without a blueprint, alongside so many amazingly creative, intelligent and forward-thinking innovators. Truly, what a time we live in! Now, let's build! 😊
