As we've highlighted before, an impressive 94% of the personnel involved in the recent Turnaround at the Tengiz field were Kazakhstani citizens, demonstrating #Tengizchevroil's commitment to developing a world-class, highly skilled local workforce alongside implementing advanced technologies. Meet two of these talented Kazakhstani specialists who played crucial roles during the #Turnaround: Inara Zhakupova worked as an inspector for non-destructive in-line inspection. Her scope involved inspecting shell-and-tube heat exchangers and air-cooler units with finned tube sections – critical for ensuring proper equipment operation. Despite the complexity, Inara's team completed their work on time without any defers, thanks to the support from the turnaround management. With a bachelor's in industrial and civil engineering and a master's in mechanical engineering, Inara exemplifies the continuous professional development mindset. Starting as an administrative assistant at Tengiz, she showcased her determination to become an NDT specialist, and her management recognized her potential. Inara plans to keep enhancing her non-destructive testing skills. Yesbol Mailybayev, a preproduction engineer, played a vital role in tracking work progress, identifying critical areas, scheduling tasks, and facilitating daily coordination meetings. Despite the massive workload, Yesbol found the turnaround experience incredibly rewarding, completing tasks safely and with high quality while strengthening his leadership skills. Born in Aktau and educated at China Petroleum University in Beijing, Yesbol highlights the increasing number of educated and ambitious young Kazakhstani specialists in the country's workforce. He believes the level of training for local personnel is high and continues to improve.

94% of the workforce involved in the recent #Tengiz Turnaround are #Kazakhstanis. This impressive statistic demonstrates that TCO not only utilizes advanced technologies, but also actively invests and develops highly qualified local personnel to a global standards. One of the experts is Nurgali Skakov, who served as one of the supervisors during the Turnaround. «This Turnaround was special for me, as I was involved in a lot of responsibilities from the planning to the implementation stages. I have gained invaluable experience in effective project and team management, process optimization, and decision-making. I believe that the development of Kazakhstani personnel is very important. The best way to increase the competitiveness of our compatriots to the international level is through this unique experience».

As soon as the first evacuated residents of Kulsary, most of whom were women, the elderly, and children, arrived at rotational accommodation camps located near Tengiz field at 2 a.m. on April 6, Tengizchevroil (TCO) employees immediately mobilized a group of volunteers and began collecting humanitarian aid. So, by 10 a.m. on April 6, both TCO employees and employees of its business partners learned that humanitarian aid was being collected at TCO Headquarters for residents of Zhylyoi district. #Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) has safely started operations at its Wellhead Pressure Management Project (#WPMP) at the Tengiz oil field, with the conversion of the first metering station to low pressure, and by bringing online the associated Pressure Boost Facility (#PBF). This is a key milestone in the company’s overall expansion project at #Tengiz. The WPMP is designed to keep existing Tengiz processing plants at full capacity (of approximately 28 million tonnes per annum), by lowering the flowing pressure at the wellheads and then boosting the pressure to the existing plants. The additional PBF compressors will start up and the remaining metering stations will be converted through the remainder of the year. The final stage of TCO’s #expansion project, known as the Future Growth Project (#FGP), is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2025.
