CodeBrave isn't about just teaching kids to code. It's about re-engaging children who have often lost enthusiasm for school due to stressful circumstances or low quality education. It's about sparking their curiosity and making them want to learn. This is the best investment in their future, giving them the skills to self-teach as they grow into adults and beyond. "The teacher training programme has significantly improved how we deliver tech education at Tahaddi Lebanon. We feel more confident now. We have the necessary resources, we follow a specific plan and curriculum, and the content is very clear. We know that throughout this three-year programme, the students will acquire essential skills for their future." Jihan, the programme coordinator at the Tahaddi Education Centre, a CodeBrave partner since 2022. Our CodeBrave Code-Powered Schools Programme allows low-resourced and public schools and education centres in Lebanon to independently deliver tech education to their students, teaching them the most in-demand skills of the 21st century and preparing them for their future careers. DM us to get your teachers trained by CodeBrave. #CodeBrave #TechEducation #Lebanon #SkillsForLife #UpskillingTeachers

How do you code an electric guitar? Ask Yamen*, a 13 year old boy whose family was displaced by conflict in South Lebanon. He's now learning to code at the IDP shelter where they're living. "Coding classes are taking our minds off the situation", told us many students at the shelter where CodeBrave is running classes. This project is quite different from our usual work. Typically, we embed within schools to make long-term changes. But these children have no long-term plans right now; they're living week by week until they can return home. CodeBrave is helping to bridge the gap in their education in a way that gets them excited to learn again. With thanks to World Vision in Lebanon for funding this project. #PoweringYouth #CodeBrave #TechEducation #Lebanon #skillsforlife

"Students arrive 2 hours early to coding class because they are excited and have little else to do." This is what the manager of a shelter for families displaced by the conflict in South Lebanon where has been CodeBrave running Coding & Robotics classes told us. One of those students, Najla, had been out of school since October due to the daily clashes on her village in South Lebanon. Najla and her family moved to the shelter several months ago. After only 3 lessons with CodeBrave - her first coding lessons ever! - she built a digital dice using a micro:bit. Najla is amongst 27,000 displaced children whose schooling was disrupted this year in Southern Lebanon. We're helping bridge the gap in their education in a way that gets them excited to learn and takes their mind off the conflict, with thanks to our funding partner World Vision in Lebanon. #PoweringYouth #CodeBrave #TechEducation #Lebanon #skillsforlife

Why teach coding & robotics? We get asked this a lot. So here's a carousel to explain... PS: There are lots of skills you can teach kids to learn 1 or 2 of these skills, but there’s nothing quite like coding & robotics to hit all three birds with one stone. #PoweringYouth #CodeBrave #TechEducation #Lebanon #skillsforlife
