Our recent experience witnessing the incredible capabilities of GE Healthcare LOGIQ systems at Nini Hospital and Clemenceau Medical Center. These systems are equipped with volume navigation option, allowing for the seamless integration of real-time ultrasound with volume DICOM datasets such as MR, CT and many more. We had the opportunity to observe firsthand how this innovative technology enables simultaneous visualization of both MR and ultrasound images. This offers numerous benefits for healthcare professionals and patients alike. Some of the advantages include: - Real-time imaging: Unlike traditional still images, volume navigation provides real-time visuals, allowing for a more dynamic and comprehensive assessment of patients' conditions. - Combining high spatial resolution and contrast resolution: By merging the high spatial resolution of ultrasound with the detailed contrast resolution of MR, healthcare providers can make more accurate diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans. - Guiding interventions in real time. - Minimizing radiation exposure: By utilizing volume navigation, healthcare professionals can avoid multiple exposures to radiation during interventions and follow-up exams, ensuring patient safety and reducing potential risks. Moreover, volume navigation proves to be invaluable in visualizing lesions that are poorly visualized with ultrasound alone. This includes lesions that are difficult to detect due to their small size or being hidden. Additionally, large lesions that are partially visible with ultrasound but partially obscured by anatomical situations can be effectively visualized using this technology.
