Nudge Lebanon is a nongovernmental and non-profit organization who has been pioneering applications of insights from behavioral science to various policy challenges, using rigorous experimental approaches and tools typically used in the field of behavioural economics, such as randomized controlled trials. In particular, it focuses on improving citizen-centered policies and steering people and organizations towards making the most optimal choices, for themselves and their communities.

Last week, our team implemented a workshop in Amman, Jordan, aimed at building the capacities of local key stakeholders contributing to more inclusive social security schemes for workers and employers who are outside the coverage of social security.

With Facebook becoming our go-to for storing birthdays, events, and more, there's truly no detail too small for technology to remember for us.
In the world of behavioral science, understanding the motivations behind actions is essential. The four types of behavior—custom, moral rule, descriptive norm, and social norm—each offer insights into why people act the way they do. To effectively implement norm nudges, it's vital to grasp the causality, context, and expectations surrounding the behavior in question. When done right, norm nudging is a powerful tool for driving prosocial change. #socialnorms #behavioralscience

By sharing our drafts with key stakeholders and testing various versions, we gathered invaluable feedback that allowed us to refine and improve the tools to meet the specific needs of the end-users. Feedback not only informed content and framing of key messages but also design considerations such as color preferences, cartoon drawing styles, font types and more! When one alien gets picked, they all cheer and want to be next. They follow the crowd's belief in the Claw's greatness, showing how easily we can all jump on the bandwagon. 🚀 While it's easy to be swayed by the crowd, it's important to maintain our own beliefs and views. 🌟

Amidst the pandemic, we released 45 episodes in 60 days to navigate its world-changing impact. Spanning 140 countries and with guests from every continent (excluding Antarctica), our podcast has transcended borders and connected with a global audience. Our collaborations with institutions like Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Nudge Lebanon have enriched our journey.
