Reflecting on the final event for our "Changing the Narrative: Fostering Gender-Sensitive Reporting in Lebanon's Civic Space" media fellowship. 📰 The fellowship engaged with 10 early-career journalists in Lebanon working with traditional and modern media outlets. Together, we focused on fostering a transformative narrative to combat discriminatory language in gender-related media coverage. Beyond raising awareness, it empowered participants with practical strategies for inclusive, sensitive, and accurate reporting. 2 days ago, our participants presented their own inspiring projects, using podcasts, videos, and articles to convey their messages. This was followed by an insightful discussion with Mayssaloun Nassar and Elham Barjas, two established journalists who do not shy away from tackling gender-related issues in their work. #GenderEquality #MediaInclusion

Tonight our executive director Layal Sakr will join the panel discussion on sexual violence against women and femicide in Lebanon. The discussion is hosted by the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) and the U.S. - Middle East Partnership Initiatives (MEPI) Tomorrow's Leaders Gender Scholars Program.
