Today is a historic day as we are reminded of the history that brought us here. Today we celebrate our fair Helen of the West, our freedom, liberty, and independence. In this 46th year of sovereignty, we have so much to be proud of. We have continued to contribute to the triumphs and global recognition of our Saint Lucia. We continue to work towards being a healthy and prosperous nation. We bow in recognition of our island's flag erected 46 years ago and recall what it meant for us. A freed people, a liberated people, an independent people. Happy Independence Saint Lucia!

About us
Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) is responsible for management and regulatory oversight for the island's official ports of entry. These include 2 airports: Hewanorra International Airport & George F.L. Charles Airport; 2 sea ports: Port Castries & Port Vieux Fort and three bays: Rodney Bay, Marigot Bay and Soufriere Bay. SLASPA handles over 700,000 annual tons of sea and air cargo, facilitates more than 840,000 airline travelers over 34,000 aircraft movements, an average of 600,000 cruise passengers, 60,000 ferry passengers, over 54,000 yacht passengers and berths over 1,000 vessels
