📣 WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE MOST DEDICATED GROUND:BREAKERS IN THE ALPS! ⛰️ Soils are among the most important resources we have. We depend on fertile, well-aired, well-watered and diversity-rich soils to grow food, for cooling purposes and to store water. We need it to bind CO2, for oxidation and reduction of certain elements, for conversion of organic compounds and simply to enjoy nature. The GROUND:BREAKER AWARD 🏆 is an alpine wide unsealing competition! Our goal is to collect good practices of desealing and soil improvement measures. Therefore, we are looking for examples from urban and peri-urban areas in different countries, of different dimensions and with different actors! 🏗️🌾 Find more information about prices to win and application form on our website.

During the Erasmus+ project #AlpineCompass: Youth for quality of life in the Alps, CIPRA Slovenia, CIPRA Germany, CIPRA France and CIPRA International interviewed young people about what quality of life means to them and how it can be improved. Here are some of the results. Nature protection, work-life balance and mobility are the most relevant topics for young people. We also researched quality of life related to youth and the Alps. Currently we are finishing a paper called "Quality of Life among young people in the Alps," where we analyze the results from the interviews and compare them to the literature.
