Bringing Climate Change Stories to Life Through Creative Arts🎨🌍 At the @youthwingwnps ‘Tales of Conservation’ exhibition, ClimaComms hosted a Climate 2.0 session titled ‘Critical Climate Change Issues Through the Powerful Medium of Art.’ 👨🏾🎨 This engaging discussion delved into how the #creative #arts can amplify #climate narratives by using both traditional and modern art forms to communicate urgent #environmental challenges. 🌽 In collaboration with The Sustainable Development Council of Sri Lanka (SDCSL) we hosted a high-level Climate 2.0 dialogue at the London Grill, Cinnamon Grand Colombo. This ClimaComms event brought together key actors from Sri Lanka’s finance and agriculture sector to talk about narratives and strategies for #communicating the benefits of climate finance and sustainable finance, particularly within Sri Lanka’s #foodsystems. 🗣️ The dialogue focused on how to effectively convey #climate and #sustainable finance to rural communities and other ground-level actors. The participants discussed approaches to leverage successful case studies in Sri Lanka and discussed how their institutions can help build a compelling narrative that highlights the positive impacts of #resilience-building in agriculture. 🌍 This initiative by ClimaComms aims to engage stakeholders at all levels in climate communications. We will share key takeaways soon and look forward to further build on this event! The integration of #health and #climate agendas marked a significant milestone, with key developments like the COP28 Health Day, the UAE Declaration on Climate and Health, and the first Climate and Health Ministerial. 📖 Our latest blog post dives deep into how health can be woven into the formal UNFCCC UN negotiation agenda, from decarbonizing health systems to addressing the health impacts of #lossanddamage. 📚 The blog also covers the Global Goal on Adaptation, the significance of health in Nationally Determined Contributions (#NDCs), and the way forward for the climate and health nexus. 📈 The intersection of health and climate change is becoming more recognised and urgent.
