𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 - 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 took place recently in Manila, Philippines. This event was hosted by the 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, a global platform for coconut sustainability and is a multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to build a responsible and resilient coconut sector that solves a generational challenge of sustainability for millions of coconut farmers. With the theme "Nurturing Sustainable Coconut Markets to Meet a Growing Demand”, this year’s roundtable brought together over 200 industry leaders, producers, and sustainability advocates to discuss innovative practices and solutions for a more sustainable coconut supply chain. A new ‘Assurance System’ was unveiled during this year’s roundtable, aiming to address issues that prevent market transformation and find its 'sweet spot' while the partnership continues to promote all sustainability efforts including the ones of existing standards. As an affiliated member of the Sustainable Coconut Partnership, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 actively contributed to discussions on advancing sustainability in the coconut sector. Together, we explored strategies to reduce environmental impact, ensure fair trade practices, and support the livelihoods of coconut farmers across the globe. At Control Union, we remain committed to promoting responsible practices and creating a positive impact within the Coconut industry and beyond. #SustainableCoconutRoundtable2024 #SustainableCoconutPartnership #SustainableFarming #SustainableCertification #ControlUnion
